Xfinity Mobile Arena is a venue in South Philadelphia, at 3601 South Broad Street, where the city's professional basketball and hockey teams play their home games. The Sixers and the Flyers both call the arena home, so it is a natural stop for anyone who wants to see how Philadelphia's sports crowds gather.
What a visit looks like
The arena hosts both sporting events and major concerts, so the atmosphere depends on what is on the schedule. Visitors can expect energetic game nights, with the kind of crowd noise and fan involvement that Philadelphia is known for. Checking the event calendar before you travel is the best way to know what you will see and when.
The area around the arena
Xfinity Mobile Arena anchors the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, so you will find other stadiums close by. Plan extra time to walk the complex before or after your event. Nearby, you can also explore the local food scene, which gives you a relaxed way to spend an evening before or after the game.
Planning your trip
- Check the schedule for basketball, hockey, or concerts before you go.
- Allow time to arrive, since a sports night draws large crowds to the complex.
- Combine the visit with a meal in the area to make the most of the neighborhood.
