Sinem Kara: Stand-Up Comedy Show brings a Quebec-born comedian of Turkish origin to the stage of Théâtre Desjardins in Montreal, Canada, on December 15 and 16, 2026. It is a stand-up evening, and a good choice for anyone looking for a night of live comedy during the winter season.
What to expect
Kara's material turns to everyday habits and small quirks, the kind of details most people recognise from their own homes and families. Her approach is affectionate but sharp: she looks closely at ordinary behaviour and finds the humour in it, without much need for elaborate setups.
A particular thread of the show is the way it blends two cultures. Drawing on her Quebec upbringing and her Turkish roots, Kara moves between the two with well-placed wit, which gives the evening a perspective that will feel familiar to some audience members and new to others.
