UngKlang takes over Koncertsalen at DR Koncerthuset on 8 March 2027 for a special concert marking International Women's Day (Kvindernes Kampdag). The evening is an expanded edition of the ensemble's ongoing concept celebrating women in music.
The programme features new arrangements of works by notable female Danish artists, performed in direct collaboration with those artists on stage, as well as original compositions from the choir itself. The music spans a wide range of genres and traditions, moving between intimate and grand-scale expression.
UngKlang positions itself at the intersection of honouring and challenging classical choral traditions, using shared musical backgrounds and classical vocal techniques in dialogue with rhythmic and experimental approaches to create fresh artistic voices.
The concert is conceived as a shared celebration of artistic and collective strength, inviting audiences to listen, be moved, and participate in a communal experience.
