Fifteen years ago, Adrien Béal and Arthur Igual built their first 'plateau writing' together — a piece largely improvised each night, titled Il est trop tôt pour prendre des décisions définitives. With no audio or video trace remaining, what survives today? Pursuing his research into time — passing time, repetitive time, the world's time and performance time — Béal invites Igual to start again, years later.
The two performers interrogate the word 'répétition', which in French means both rehearsal and the act of repeating night after night what was rehearsed. They joyfully seek to understand how an action consisting of repeating what already happened can anticipate an uncertain future. Runtime: approximately 1h10. Création/coproduction. Post-show meeting with the artistic team on 17 December.
