Misantropen is Moliรจre's classic comedy about a love-struck melancholic who cannot hide his disdain for the social posturing around him โ a figure more relevant than ever in the age of self-promotion and curated personas.
Jens Albinus takes on the role of the lovelorn misanthrope, bringing the question to the fore: who is truly most ridiculous โ the honest cynic or the society he despises?
The production runs on Gamle Scene at the Royal Danish Theatre from 23 January to 25 February 2027.
