Minime rencontre les grands compositeurs is a family concert that blends storytelling and live classical music. The audience follows Minime, a charming cheese-and-music-loving mouse, on a daring journey through baroque Venice and beyond, all while encountering two of history's greatest composers: Antonio Vivaldi and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Well-known Québec actor Benoît Brière narrates the tale on stage, guiding the audience through Minime's perilous adventures — including a close call with a hungry cat — and magical travels from Venice to an English port, where a young boy in a white wig (the future Mozart, nicknamed Wolfer) makes his appearance.
The Ensemble Quatre Saisons is a five-piece chamber ensemble featuring violins, viola, cello, piano, and harpsichord. The group is directed by Christine Harvey, a multidisciplinary cellist who regularly performs with the Orchestre Métropolitain under maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
The concert takes place in the Grande Salle of Salle Pauline-Julien and is presented as part of the Série Famille programme.
