Viviane Audet brings her latest show to the grande salle of Salle Pauline-Julien, spotlighting her most recent instrumental album, also titled Le piano et le torrent — a fifteen-piece piano narrative rooted in the coastal village of Maria, in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, where she was born and raised.
The production blends delicate and vibrant staging, interweaving laughter with emotion as Viviane draws on her skills both as a pianist and as a performer. She explores her intimate connection to her home landscape — seagulls, crows, and layered memories — through music and storytelling.
The show features direction by Nicolas Gendron & Viviane Audet, texts by Viviane Audet, lighting design by Philippe Dumas, set design by Max-Otto Fauteux, sound by Léandre Bourgeois, and harp by Éveline Grégoire-Rousseau.
