Khayam Triple Concerto & Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6 - Anne-Sophie Mutter & DR Symfoniorkestret

The season's final concerts with the DR Symphony Orchestra and chief conductor Fabio Luisi feature a reunion with star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, who has become one of the orchestra's most celebrated guest artists.

Mutter returns with a newly commissioned triple concerto by young Iranian composer Golfam Khayam, co-commissioned by DR among others. Alongside two specially selected musician colleagues, she presents the European premiere of the work at Koncertsalen before the three soloists take the piece on tour to some of Europe's leading concert halls.

The programme also includes Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, the composer's final symphony and widely considered his most emotionally intense and powerful โ€” a work of extraordinary range encompassing charm and tenderness, fire and tragedy.

Performances take place on Wednesday 20 May and Thursday 21 May 2027 at 19:30 at DR Koncerthuset.
