It's Actually Christmas is a full-orchestra seasonal concert from DR Symfoniorkestret, drawing on the music of much-loved Christmas films including Love Actually, The Holiday, Home Alone, and The Polar Express, performed live in the grand Koncertsalen.
The programme moves from the familiar melodies of The Nutcracker through to iconic film-score moments, all interpreted by a large symphony orchestra. Vocalist Maria Lucia brings expressive power to the evening, and the young singers of DR Juniorkoret add an extra layer of beauty to the sound.
Actor Peter Mygind hosts the evening, guiding audiences through the concert with infectious festive spirit. The event is designed as a joyful prelude to December, uniting generations around shared musical memories from cinema and the family living room.
