'Foie gras' is Mariana Mazza's third solo one-woman show, and her most personal to date. Raised in Montreal-Nord and now living a more bourgeois life in Saint-Lambert with her poodles and unsold canvases, Mazza turns her lens inward โ trading her signature shock-laugh formula for something more emotionally honest.
In this show, she makes a kind of public coming out: she is emotional and vulnerable. The high-energy chihuahua persona of her earlier work gives way to a porcelain-hearted figure navigating softness alongside her sharp wit. She is, as ever, brilliantly funny โ but this time with feeling to match.
