Feu Karaoké

Feu Karaoké is a family fresco written and performed by Charlie Monty, directed by Guillermina Kerwin. The play follows siblings trying to stay afloat after the suicide of their mother and the loss of their home, drifting between a Normandin restaurant, a funeral parlour, and a karaoke bar in search of connection and survival.

Karaoke functions in the play as an act of radical vulnerability — a space where characters sing because words alone are not enough. The piece blends grief, awkward humour, and moments of unexpected grace.

Charlie Monty wrote the play as part of La Licorne's emerging-writer residency programme. As a playwright and actor, she has recently appeared in Une Fin, Corps Fantômes, and Dracula: Un nouveau règne du mal. Director Guillermina Kerwin brings decades of production experience, including Être ou ne pas être un douchebag by Mary-Lee Picknell, also presented at La Licorne.

Performance schedule: Monday to Thursday at 19:00; Friday at 20:00; Saturday February 20 and 27 at 16:00.
