CAPRA (une chèvre)

It may sometimes happen — not for long — that one lowers one's arms and wonders how theatre can still resist or enchant freely. Then the work begins, and it returns quickly, almost every time. Here, theatre is the main character — the kind one makes and the kind one goes to see, as art and as place, battling with the world in its own way.

To make it speak and play, Jeanne Candel and her team summon childhood (theirs, ours) and mythology (Dionysos) — a childhood where imagination overflows and the unruly god of more or less organised disorder, elusive pleasure-seeker, is always a little the same and always a little other. A theatre where everything — in words and music — is made, unmade, to be remade, resists and enchants. Runtime: approximately 1h45. Post-show meeting on 29 April. Création/coproduction.
