Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is an indoor arena in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, and the home court of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. For visitors, it is the place to see professional basketball in the city, but it is far from a one-sport venue.
More than basketball
The arena also hosts major concerts and family shows throughout the year, so the programme you find on a given visit depends on the season and the calendar. Whether you come for a game or a performance, the setting is designed to be lively and welcoming to fans, and the energy of a full house is a large part of the appeal.
Planning a visit
- Check the event calendar before you travel, since games, concerts and family shows each bring a different atmosphere.
- Arrive early if you want time to take in the building and the surrounding streets before the event begins.
- Look around the district, as the arena sits in Cleveland's entertainment area, where restaurants and other venues are close by.
Downtown Cleveland is easy to explore on foot once you arrive, and pairing an evening at the arena with a meal or a walk through the centre makes for a full night out. If you are a sports fan, a music lover, or simply looking for a lively evening in the city, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is a worthwhile stop on a Cleveland itinerary.
