Canada Life Centre, formerly known as Bell MTS Place, is a multi-purpose arena in downtown Winnipeg, at 300 Portage Avenue. It is the home venue of two professional teams: the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.
What to expect
For hockey, the arena seats approximately 15,300 people, which makes a game here an intimate and lively evening. For football, the capacity rises to over 33,000, so the atmosphere changes considerably. Whichever sport you choose, the building is set up for large crowds and regular professional fixtures.

Getting there
The arena sits on Portage Avenue, in the heart of the city centre. Its downtown location means you can easily combine a visit with time spent walking around the surrounding streets, where you will find restaurants, cafés and other places to eat before or after a game.
If you are planning a trip to Winnipeg mainly for sport, Canada Life Centre is one of the city's most significant venues. Check the event schedule for the dates and types of events you are interested in before you travel.
