Nora la trotteuse

Nora la trotteuse follows a young girl named Nora who sets off on a journey of discovery, carrying a scarf given to her by her grandparents. When the scarf flies away, taking its memories with it, Nora continues her travels determined to retrieve it — guided along the way by the community that forms around her.

The show blends puppet theatre, live music, and crankie boxes — a hand-cranked scroll medium considered an ancestor of cinema — with images drawn and painted by hand in ink and paint. Live music functions as a language throughout, supporting Nora's journey and enriching the world she inhabits.

Themes of family, friendship, travel, attachment, and self-discovery are woven through the production with gentleness and poetry, making it accessible to young audiences while leaving room for imagination.
