Lady Chatterley is a neoclassical narrative ballet by British choreographer Cathy Marston, inspired by D.H. Lawrence's long-censored novel. Set in post-World War I England, the work follows Constance Chatterley, who feels suffocated in a passionless marriage and finds an unexpected connection with Mellors, the estate's gamekeeper.
With finesse and humanity, Marston explores themes of bodily impulse, the longing for freedom, and the reclaiming of desire as a vital necessity, through dance that is both intimate and deeply sensitive.
