Gerry Dee, the evening's host, has been making audiences laugh for over two decades. Widely known as the host of Family Feud Canada and as the star, co-creator, and executive producer of the acclaimed CBC/Amazon sitcom Mr D, he is currently also starring in the FOX comedy series Animal Control alongside Joel McHale.
Dee began his career in stand-up after spending nine years as a teacher at a private school. He became the first Canadian in 27 years to win the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and was the highest-placing Canadian in the history of NBC's Last Comic Standing.
The gala will be recorded for potential broadcast; audiences may be filmed. Latecomers may be refused entry to ensure recording quality. Tickets are priced from $57 to $137 CAD, taxes and fees included, and are available through Just for Laughs.
