daoud: Jazz Concert

Trumpeter daoud is one of jazz's most provocative voices — a self-described misfit whose music moves between tenderness and deflagration, irony and sincerity, chaos and lyricism. His debut album Good Boy (2024) earned him sold-out shows and high-profile appearances at venues including Ronnie Scott's in London and the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Beyond the music, daoud constructs a raw visual world defined by provocation and youthful abandon. His aesthetic embraces imperfection and fragility rather than hiding it, blending satire with genuine emotion.

On stage, daoud leads a tight four-piece group: Thomas Perier on keyboards, Louis Navarro on double bass, and Quentin Braine on drums. Together they push against genre conventions while maintaining a compelling inner tension.

This concert is presented as part of Festival Arabesques 2026 at Théâtre Jean-Claude Carrière, Montpellier. Doors and show begin at 19:30.
