The archives of the Regional Chamber of Accounts for Occitanie (CRC) hold a tradition of bundle knots — a precise, standardised way of binding supporting accounting documents used during financial controls. As this practice gradually disappears, the inspection teams have turned it into a fun challenge for the public.
Participants compete to learn the correct knot technique as quickly as possible, racing to tie documents in record time and earn the symbolic "gold string diploma."
The event takes place from 09:00 to 12:00 at the Chambre régionale des comptes Occitanie as part of the Journées européennes du patrimoine 2026.
