Silence, ça tourne

Chrystèle Khodr, Beirut-based actress, author and director, discovered an archive about Eva Stȧhl, a Swedish nurse who survived the siege and massacres at the Palestinian camp of Tel Al Zaatar in 1976. Together with Nadim Deaibes, she returns to that history in the shadow of an unchanged present — despite kilometres of accumulated testimony buried under disinformation and impunity.

Alone on stage, Khodr reconstructs the camp's story from the voices of Eva Stȧhl, camp doctor Youssef el Iraqi and journalist Anders Hasselbohm, retrieved from preserved magnetic tape recordings. Runtime: 1 hour. Performed in Arabic with French surtitles. Production of Théâtre des 13 vents CDN Montpellier. Post-show meeting with the artistic team.
