Trio con Brio Copenhagen presents an evening of chamber music at The Queen's Hall in The Black Diamond as part of the New Voices 2027 series. The programme features three works: Ravel's celebrated Piano Trio from 1914, a brand-new piano trio composed by Søren Nils Eichberg, and Schumann's iconic Piano Quintet performed with two distinguished guest musicians.
The trio is made up of violinist Soo-Jin Hong, cellist Soo-Kyung Hong — two Korean-born sisters — and pianist Jens Elvekjær, who is also Soo-Kyung's husband. Their name, 'Con brio' (Italian for 'with energy'), reflects their vibrant and contemporary approach to the classical repertoire, which has taken them on tours across the world.
The concert begins at 19:30 and runs approximately two hours. Tickets are available via the Royal Library's online box office.
