The Babote Tower in Montpellier opens for guided tours on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026 as part of the European Heritage Days.
Visitors will journey through more than eight centuries of history: from the tower's origins as a medieval fortification, through its transformation into an astronomical observatory in the 18th century, to its connection with groundbreaking innovations such as the parachute and the Chappe telegraph.
