Pablo Sainz-Villegas performs a solo guitar recital at Mogens Dahl Koncertsal on 6 September 2026. The first half of the programme features Villa-Lobos's Five Preludes, Francisco Coll's Aire (2023), and Bach's Chaconne from Partita no. 2 in D minor in Sainz-Villegas's own arrangement.
The second half turns to the Iberian and Latin American repertoire with Turina's Fantasía Sevillana Op. 29, Mangoré's Un sueño en la floresta, and three works by Albéniz — Torre Bermeja Op. 92, Mallorca Op. 202, and Asturias (Leyenda) Op. 4 — all originally written for piano and widely loved in their guitar transcriptions.
The programme spans generations of guitar writing: from works closely associated with Andrés Segovia to a contemporary piece by Coll, offering a broad portrait of the classical guitar's repertoire.
