In celebration of what would have been David Bowie's 80th birthday, a group of prominent Danish artists reunites at DR Koncerthuset's Koncertsalen for a tribute concert spanning three nights in January 2027. Bowie — remembered as a restless musical and cultural chameleon with an unmatched sense of aesthetics, transformation and timing — left a lasting mark on genres from glam rock to punk and new wave.
The event revives a short, sold-out tribute tour held ten years ago, with the same core team returning out of shared devotion to the songs and respect for Bowie's legacy. The three-night run promises an atmospheric celebration of Bowie's musical universe, carried by powerful voices, a tight band and a collective love for an artist whose influence still resonates in contemporary music.
Soloists: Steen Jørgensen, Kira Skov, Allan Vegenfeldt, Sebastian Wolff (Kellermensch), Bjørn Fjæstad (Baal), Dicte, Frederik Vedersø (The White Album) and Steffen Westmark (The Blue Van).
