Bedouine — the Syrian-American singer and songwriter — returns to the stage after nearly five years away from releasing albums, bringing her new record 'Neon Summer Skin' to Studie 3 at DR Koncerthuset.
Since her self-titled debut in 2017, she has been celebrated for her delicately crafted folk-pop songs — a blend of 1960s folk, silky 1970s East Coast singer-songwriter tradition, and warmly enveloping vocals. The debut earned a top rating from The Independent and four stars from The Guardian.
Two further albums followed: 'Bird Songs of a Killjoy' (2019) and 'Waysides' (2021), both praised by Paste Magazine, Mojo, Variety and Pitchfork for their lyrical sensitivity and melodic charm.
Her newer sound incorporates piano, brass, flute, strings and organ, drawing on elements of psychedelia, bossa nova and jazz, and exploring themes of loss, belonging and hope.
