Venezuelan collective weed420 brings their radical sound universe to ALICE in Copenhagen on 22 October 2026. Based in Valencia, Venezuela, the group met online in 2021 and did not meet in person until 2025. Their music sits at a frantic intersection of noise, dark cloud rap, ambient, salsa, and perreo, fused with lo-fi and vaporwave aesthetics โ a form of artistic protest and cultural counterpower amid Venezuela's political turmoil.
Their debut album Amor de Encava (2025) draws inspiration from the Venezuelan buses that serve as public transportation, creating a sonic mapping of everyday life and systemic catastrophe through reggaetรณn, salsa baรบl, pop memories, and bus samples. Pitchfork called it 'one of the coolest things I've heard this year.'
