Sturle Dagsland is a Norwegian artist and vocalist working at the intersection of experimental electronic music, art pop, industrial, avant-garde and noise rock. Together with his brother Sjur, he creates a distinctive sonic world in which organic vocal expression, electronic textures, drone layers and explosive rhythmic outbursts combine into a constantly evolving whole.
The duo's music defies genre boundaries โ a single track may begin as fragile, atmospheric electronica before erupting within seconds into a near-ritualistic sonic assault. Central to the experience is Sturle Dagsland's remarkable voice, which shifts between intimate melodies, wordless laments, ecstatic cries and deep, almost primal vocal experiments.
Having performed at festivals and venues worldwide โ from Shanghai to New York โ the brothers have earned a reputation as one of Scandinavia's most boundary-pushing live acts. Critics have described their music as simultaneously beautiful, frightening and impossible to categorise.
