Son of a Pixel return to the stage at Beta on 26 September 2026 after two years away, marking the occasion with an album release show for their new record MIGHTY STICK. The band plays what they call 'gaming metal' โ a blend of 8-bit chiptune sounds and groove metal, seasoned with references to technology, programming languages and nerd culture.
Live, audiences can expect heavy riffs, digital chaos and plenty of in-jokes between band members, as well as occasional appearances from their sarcastic robot assistant. The show is a unique take on the already niche prog metal genre, filtered through the imagination of software developers and their equally eccentric collaborators.
