Protecting Heritage in Times of Crisis: Meeting with the Blue Shield France

Blue Shield France, an association founded in 2001 and recognized of general interest, specialises in protecting and safeguarding cultural heritage during major disasters and conflicts. It serves as the French relay of Blue Shield International and is approved for civil security.

On this occasion, visitors can learn about the association's missions and actions through an information stand running throughout the day. The stand will be led by Claudine Jacquet (CAOA de l'Hรฉrault), Anne-Sophie Gagnal (head of the written and graphic heritage conservation-restoration workshop at the Montpellier interuniversity documentary cooperation service), and Marie-Angeline Pinail (curator of university collections in charge of preventive conservation at the University of Montpellier and co-delegate of the Occitanie section of Blue Shield France).

The event takes place at the Hรดtel de Grave, home of the DRAC Occitanie, on Sunday, 20 September 2026, from 09:30 to 17:00.
