The Maison de Heidelberg Open Day (Tag der offenen Tรผr) runs from 11:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 19 September 2026, offering a wide programme of activities.
At 11:00 a trial German lesson at B1 level is offered (registration recommended), followed by a welcome coffee. At 11:30 the vernissage of the documentary exhibition 'Discovering Germany', conceived by the German Embassy in France, takes place. At 13:00 there is a tasting of German specialities.
The afternoon includes: a trial German class for complete beginners (14:00โ15:00, registration recommended); a literary encounter with Charlotte Gneuร on 'Gittersee' (14:30โ15:30); a children's workshop run by eco-volunteers (14:30โ15:30); a trial creative-writing class in German at B2 level (15:00โ16:00, registration recommended); and Kaffee und Kuchen โ a tasting of homemade German pastries โ at 16:00.
At 16:30 a prize draw takes place (entries accepted until 16:00). First prize: a two-night trip to Heidelberg for two people, offered by Heidelberg Marketing GmbH (hotel, breakfast, guided tour and Heidelberg CARD included; travel not included). Second prize: a full year of German classes; third prize: a session of German classes. Throughout the day, information on German courses, level tests and Franco-German mobility programmes is available, along with tourist information on Heidelberg and Germany.
