Angelique Francis is an Ottawa-born multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter celebrated for her electrifying performances, exceptional instrumental range and powerful, textured voice. She blends blues, soul, folk, jazz, gospel and rock into a distinctive and eclectic sound.
Her album Long River earned the Juno Award for Best Blues Album. Her latest record, Not Defeated, features collaborations with Christone Kingfish Ingram and Eric Gales and has already been attracting widespread attention.
Angélique has shared stages and opened for artists including Gary Clark Jr, Beth Hart, Tom Cochrane, Burton Cummings, Sugar Ray, Jimmy Vivino and many others. She has appeared at major festivals and venues such as the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Ottawa Jazz Festival, Ottawa Blues Festival, Massey Hall Toronto (Women's Blues Revue), Sighisoara Blues Festival in Romania, and the Festival International du Blues de Tremblant, among others. She has twice sailed on the Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea cruise alongside Joe Bonamassa, Samantha Fish, Keb Mo and George Thorogood.
