Mediterranean Music at the Church of Celleneuve

The city of Montpellier celebrates its rich Mediterranean cultural identity through a concert drawing on traditional Arabic, Sephardic, Persian, Greek, Turkish and Kurdish musical traditions. The programme centres on 'Nashaq', a multilingual original creation whose title means 'the kiss' in Aramaic โ€” evoking both its carnal and spiritual dimensions โ€” and stands as an ode to multicultural humanity.

The ensemble features Marie Trezanini on composition, singing and poetry, Anne-Marie Regnault on violin, Ariane Lallemand on cello, John Samy on ney, and Youssef Hbeisch on percussions.

The concert takes place at the historic ร‰glise Sainte-Croix de Celleneuve in Montpellier, as part of the European Heritage Days 2026.
