Loma + Shearwater

Loma and Shearwater are co-headlining this joint tour for the first time since 2018, having shared key members and a common Austin, Texas origin across their respective careers. Both bands release on Seattle's Sub Pop Records and count Jonathan Meiburg and sound engineer/producer Dan Duszynski among their members, as well as a member named Emily each.

Loma plays atmospheric indie, ambient pop and experimental folk, led by Emily Cross's calm, enveloping voice. Their catalogue includes their 2018 self-titled debut, 'Don't Shy Away' (2020) and 'How Will I Live Without A Body?' (2023). Shearwater moves in indie rock, art rock and post-rock with more dramatic builds and powerful vocals, having released 'The Great Awakening' (2022) and 'The New World' (2026).

Dan Duszynski's solo project Any Kind opens the evening, giving him the longest time on stage of any participant. The co-headlining format is framed by the artists themselves as akin to a theatre company staging two separate plays, with all six musicians playing double roles across the night.

Both groups have been inactive live since 2018, with the pandemic and members relocating abroad cited as the main causes of the long break. This tour marks their much-anticipated return to performing for live audiences.
