Koros: La danse en réalité virtuelle

KOROS is a virtual reality dance experience produced by the Agora de la danse, running from Tuesday October 6 through Friday October 9, 2026 at a room inside the Cégep hosting Salle Pauline-Julien. Attendees don a VR headset and earphones to be transported to the heart of choreographic works by two renowned Quebec choreographers.

The programme features two pieces: a work by Hélène Blackburn that places the viewer at the centre of roughly ten dancers in a full 360-degree environment, and a piece by Maggie Gillis that invites participants to raise their hands and actively take part in the dance. Together they offer 360-degree performance, interactive lighting effects, and special effects designed to make the stage feel almost tangible.

Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, including an introductory explanation before the experience begins. The venue will have 18 VR headsets available on-site, allowing multiple participants to experience KOROS simultaneously.

Registration opens on September 11, 2026, via the venue's website. The event is part of the Série Inusitée programme.
