Argentinian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ilan Amores makes his Danish debut at ALICE this September, bringing his genre-crossing blend of alternative cumbia and political punk energy. With frayed accordion riffs, danceable rhythms, and poetic lyrics, he has carved out a distinctive identity in the Argentinian alternative music scene.
Amores spent many years as a bassist in the punk band Argies before shaping his solo sound from 2017 onwards. His 2024 album Caballo Negro marked a turning point, positioning him as one of the new leading voices in Argentinian alternative cumbia. His live charisma has impressed icons including Damas Gratis, Andrรฉs Calamaro, and Manu Chao โ the latter invited him to share the stage at major concerts in Spain and Italy.
Following a sold-out European tour, Amores returns to the continent with new material. He performs at ALICE as a duo.
