Guided Tour on the History of Fashion in Montreal - UQAM School of Fashion

The UQAM School of Fashion is opening its normally student-exclusive 4-kilometer guided walking tour to the general public for the first time, as part of Montreal Fashion Week 2026. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes, covering key neighborhoods including the Latin Quarter, Old Montreal, and downtown Montreal.

Across 10 stops, participants will explore topics spanning the fur trade, the golden age of Saint-Denis Street designers, the founding years of major companies such as Reitmans and Canadelle, the influence of Expo '67 on Montreal's international fashion reputation, the department stores of Sainte-Catherine Street, and the industrial heritage of Saint-Laurent Boulevard.

The tour is conducted exclusively in French and proceeds rain or shine. Tickets are available through the registration form linked on the event page.
