Atrium, the flagship building of the University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry, opens its doors for guided tours as part of European Heritage Days 2026. The building was designed by the Parisian architecture firm SCAU in collaboration with Montpellier-based agency Coste Architecture, and welcomed visitors for the first time in spring 2024.
The one-hour tour takes visitors through the various spaces of this modern and forward-looking building, which houses a university library across most of its floor area alongside other university services. The building is intended to serve not only the university community but the wider neighbourhood and metropolis.
A highlight of the visit is the sweeping panoramic view of the surrounding neighbourhood from the library's third floor. Tours run throughout the day from 10:00 to 18:00.
