ALICE presents the Philip Glass Ensemble in a rare Copenhagen appearance at the Royal Danish Academy of Music's concert hall โ housed in the former Radiohus on Rosenรธrns Allรฉ โ on 20 September 2026. The ensemble will perform Glassworks (1982), one of Glass's most beloved and accessible works, featuring its characteristic repetitive structures, gradual shifts, and luminous textures.
Founded in New York in 1968, the Philip Glass Ensemble has been central to the development of minimalist music, giving birth to landmark works including Music in Twelve Parts and the Koyaanisqatsi trilogy. Under the long-standing direction of music director Michael Riesman, the ensemble continues to carry this legacy with authenticity and precision.
Please note: Philip Glass himself will not appear due to his advanced age. The concert is presented by ALICE.
