Friða Saiya, 20 years old, performs at Studie 3 in DR Koncerthuset, presenting a musical world that blends Nordic melancholy with modern organic pop. She writes, composes, orchestrates and co-produces all of her own music.
Her sound spans from large orchestral arrangements featuring strings and cinematic weight to more intimate, vulnerable productions that place songwriting at the centre. Lyrically, her work is personal and poetic, rooted in Copenhagen life with the Faroe Islands as an inner point of reference.
Friða has already made an impression on the Danish live scene, appearing as a support act for Mille, Soleima and Karoline Funder, and was selected as one of five artists for P3's Næste — a key platform for emerging Danish talent.
