DR Big Band and their Grammy-nominated chief conductor Miho Hazama kick off the 2026-27 season with a landmark concert in Studie 2 at DR Koncerthuset. After six seasons of close collaboration and a shared Grammy nomination, the partnership between the band and Hazama has firmly established both on the global jazz map.
The centrepiece of the evening is the world premiere live performance of Hazama's new album 'Frames', released on the respected Edition Records label and featuring entirely her own compositions. The concert will also draw on highlights from the band's rich archive and moments from its recent 60th anniversary celebrations.
This season-opening concert precedes a Danish tour before the band embarks on its third journey to Japan, where Miho Hazama enjoys star status and they are invited to perform at a number of leading jazz venues.
