On September 22, 2026, the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Historic Site and Maison Saint-Gabriel host an immersive exhibition-performance inside the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, co-organized with Fibreshed Quรฉbec and a broad network of artists and artisans. The event takes place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as part of Montreal Fashion Week 2026.
Visitors can attend live demonstrations by artisans showcasing traditional techniques for processing natural fibers, offering an hands-on look at heritage textile craftsmanship.
Rare textile artifacts, normally kept in storage, will be brought out specially for this occasion, giving attendees an exceptional glimpse into historical material culture. Alongside these hidden treasures, contemporary fashion collections inspired by the heritage of New France and Acadia will be previewed โ offering a first look at the upcoming exhibition Legacy and Possibilities, which will later travel to the Musรฉe acadien du Quรฉbec.
The evening will also serve as the unveiling of "Patrimoine tricotรฉ", a solidarity project organized by the community outreach program at Maison Saint-Gabriel, celebrating the rich heritage of the Congregation of Notre-Dame.
Tickets are available through the Musรฉes Montrรฉal ticketing platform.
