EXPรRIENCE 2 is a free outdoor showcase presented on the Esplanade Tranquille as part of MUTEK Montrรฉal 2026. The programme draws together artists working across ambient, drone, techno, bass, broken beat, drum and bass, and experimental electronica, reflecting the breadth of contemporary electronic music.
Ottawa-based producer and designer 16:9 ratio (Noah Elliott Perkins) opens with a live set built from field recordings and glitch textures, drawing on his 2024 release "fish 1". Montreal producer and DJ dustbunny follows, combining live vocals, harp and motion-sensor technology in the Canadian premiere of new project "Sweet".
UK-born, Montreal-based junglist jamvvis teams up with live drumming duo YFBOB, bringing a broken beat and drum-and-bass energy anchored by their 2026 release "harry osborn". NGL Flounce โ French-Malagasy violinist and producer Elsasoa Jousse โ premieres "Embers in Blue", weaving Pan-African rhythms with deconstructed club sound. Swiss DJ and producer NVST rounds out the bill with a hard-hitting live set rooted in Lausanne's underground breakbeat, techno and acid scene.
The evening closes with a surprise DJ set. Admission is free.
