Dirty Three โ violinist and pianist Warren Ellis, guitarist Mick Turner, and drummer Jim White โ have been a monumental force in Australian music since their formation in 1992, earning legendary status for their compositions at the intersection of noise, melancholy, improvisation, jazz, post-rock and folk.
Their discography spans nine albums, including the widely influential 1998 masterpiece Ocean Songs. The band has toured internationally alongside Sonic Youth, John Cale, Pavement, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
After a 12-year recording hiatus, Dirty Three returned in 2024 with Love Changes Everything, which was met with ecstatic critical reception: Popmatters awarded it 9/10, Pitchfork gave it an 8.0 calling it "some of the most beautiful and emotional work of the group's career", and Uncut described it as "My Bloody Valentine reinventing themselves as a folk group".
This Copenhagen appearance is a rare opportunity to see the group in Denmark, in what promises to be a career-spanning set from veterans who are currently in absolute top form.
