Latin Groove Montréal, a dance school founded in 1999, opens TEMPÉO's cumbia evening with a workshop for all levels, guided by instructor Nataly Ruíz. The school's mission is to build community through the joy of Latin dance, and Nataly's infectious energy and passion make her a perfect host for the occasion.
Cumbia originated in the 17th century in Colombia and has since spread throughout Latin America, spawning regional styles from Argentina to Mexico as well as contemporary variants like technocumbia.
