Pianist Alain Lefèvre presents Consolation, a programme of eleven original compositions conceived as a musical mosaic of emotions — a soothing refuge, a source of hope, a space for meditation, rediscovered nostalgia and bursts of joy. The recital is an invitation to pause and surrender to the present moment.
Alongside his own works, Lefèvre explores the French piano repertoire with celebrated pieces by Debussy — including Rêverie, Clair de lune and the Arabesques — and the grand Valse by Ravel, in which the pianist channels the full power of an orchestra through the solo instrument.
The programme is completed by the sublime Rhapsodie romantique by André Mathieu, performed in its solo piano version, offering an additional delight for lovers of the Québec classical tradition.
