Written by Catherine Léger and directed by Philippe Lambert, this extended run of 'Changer de vie' is a contemporary comedy exploring the tensions of modern life — artificial intelligence, social media, creative ambition, and the search for meaning.
The story follows Christian and Nathalie, a couple with a seemingly settled life, whose equilibrium is disrupted when Jasmine, a near-stranger, shows up after responding to a casual Facebook post. Her presence sets off a chain of individual and collective quests for happiness and purpose.
With her signature sharp and unpredictable style, Catherine Léger examines decision fatigue, the desire for control versus the need to let go, and the absurdity of consulting AI for life's most personal questions.
This new version of the play was developed during a writing residency at La Licorne, following an initial presentation at Petit Théâtre du Nord in summer 2022. Philippe Lambert, La Licorne's artistic director, previously directed Léger's 'Baby-sitter' (2017) and 'Deux femmes en or' (2023).
Performances run Tuesday to Thursday at 19:00, Friday at 20:00, and Saturday at 16:00.
