The British prog-rock band The Pineapple Thief return to Copenhagen and Amager Bio on 22 May, bringing songs from their new album Far and Wide. The band has played several sold-out shows at the venue before.
Fronted by Bruce Soord, the band's driving force since its start in 1999, the music pairs intimate, fragile melodies with big guitar textures, atmospheric keyboards and precise drumming. Drummer Gavin Harrison is a highlight of the five-piece live line-up.
Far and Wide is due out in October and continues the path of earlier albums such as Your Wilderness, Dissolution, Versions of the Truth and It Leads to This. Live, the layered productions are expected to move between the reflective and the powerful.
