Melodielei is a lunchtime singing group that meets every Monday at the Maison de Heidelberg in Montpellier, running 15 sessions per year. Participants explore the richness of the German language through song, covering popular melodies and classical choral works for one or several voices.
The repertoire draws on a wide range of composers and songwriters, including Schubert, Mozart, Kurt Weill, and Reinhard Mey, among others. Sessions run from 12:15 to 13:45, offering an enjoyable break between midday and the afternoon.
The group is directed by Ursula Boecker. Once or twice a year, participants have the opportunity to present their repertoire to an audience in the form of mini-concerts held at the Maison de Heidelberg.
