During the autumn holidays, the Royal Danish Library welcomes families to explore The Black Diamond through a new storytelling tour called The Magic of the Night. Visitors follow Evi, a curious girl who sneaks around the library at night with the friendly night guard Madsen, meeting friendly ghosts and figures from the library's historical collections.
After the tour, children can join creative activities inspired by the story. They can make small sculptures from hairpins and plasticine or paper cutouts, go fishing for noses with a net, dress up in costumes and have a portrait taken in a photo studio, and visit history tents to see the library's collections up close.
Practical information: admission is free for children and their adults. The activities are aimed mainly at children aged 5-10, though all children are welcome. They take place around the building and in the Panorama Hall on the 4th floor, from 10:00 to 16:00. Food can be bought at The Black Diamond's café, and space for brought-in food is limited.
