During the autumn holidays, the Royal Danish Library invites families to explore The Black Diamond through a new storytelling tour, The Magic of the Night. It follows a girl named Evi and the night guard Madsen, and visitors meet ghosts and historical figures along the way.
After the tour, children can join creative activities inspired by the story. They can make small sculptures from hairpins and plasticine or paper cutouts, try catching noses with a fishing net, dress up in costumes and have a portrait taken in the photo studio, and visit history tents with items from the library's collections.
Admission is free for children and their adults. The activities are aimed mainly at children aged 5-10, though all children are welcome. They take place around the building and in the Panorama Hall on the 4th floor, from 10:00 to 16:00. Food is available at the library's café, and there is limited space for brought-in food.
